Elevate Your Acting Skills in our Casting Workshop with Tim O'Mara,

Tim O’Mara is a multi - BAFTA winning Writer/Director. He has an illustrious media pedigree having been a Radio Journalist at Capital Radio and LBC. Documentary filmmaker at Mirageland/C4. Producer at Picture Palace in the 80’s working on Eurocops, 4 on 4, and Tandoori Nights, ran his own production company, Roar Talent in the 90’s, working with Oscar winner, Daniel Greaves.

Head of Drama and Development at Bentley/Chrysalis where they launched “Midsomer Murders’ alongside Tim’s original series, ‘Broker’s Man’ and ‘Rumble’. Tim went on to write and direct ‘See how they run’, ‘Jeopardy’ ‘Grange Hill’ ‘EastEnders’, ‘Behind Closed Doors’ ‘Casualty’ ‘Coronation Street’ ‘Emmerdale’ ‘Hollyoaks’ ‘The Royal’ ‘Byker Grove’ ‘White Goods’ ‘For richer for poorer’, ‘The Family’ ‘Gimme six,’ ‘Fair City’ ‘The Station’. Tim is back directing with Corrie and Emmerdale through 2024 and has just bought the film and TV rights to ‘No Ballet Shoes in Syria’ written by Catherine Bruton. He has worked for ITV, BBC, C4, ABC, RTE, Disney. Nickelodeon, Sesame Workshop, United Nations, BBC Media Trust, Wellcome Trust, King’s Fund, and The Princes Trust. His latest drama series ‘Sky Gods’ is in development with Saffron Cherry Productions.

Tim is currently Directing on Emmerdale and developing a 6 part series filmed in the UK and Australia.

🔹 Personalised Feedback: Tim will review your self-tape and provide you with tailored detailed feedback. Expect feedback that is insightful and actionable for future selftape requests. Your feedback will be shared privately via email in written, voice notes, or pre-recorded video format. It's all about convenience for you - accessing it whenever and wherever! 

🔹 Special Mention and Cash Prize: Chance to win a £100 cash prize! Tim will select a performer from the workshop who she considers a special mention. Four special mention actor tapes are uploaded to our social media and voted for by our followers. The winner takes home £100!

*If selected, participating in the special mention competition is entirely up to you.

📆 Important dates :

Saturday 25th May at 7pm - Deadline for selftapes sent to us.

Sunday 26th May by 7pm - An email in which you can book your slot will be sent to those who have submitted a tape. Please be advised that every participant will have a slot allocated; however, specific time slots will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

Monday 27th May at 7pm - We will close the booking slots and assign anyone who hasn't yet booked a spot.

Thursday 30th May from 6pm - Tim's Zoom feedback sessions from 6-9pm. Each session lasts 40 minutes and accommodates up to 6 actors. Below, you'll find an example of the time slots for a full workshop. Please note that if the workshop isn't fully booked or some actors request emailed feedback instead, we'll adjust the schedule to ensure efficient use of time for Tim. This may involve removing the last slot(s) in the day so these won't be available to book.
